We want you to be happy with LineageRemote. This page explains what you can expect if you change your mind after subscribing.
Free trial
New subscriptions start with a free trial. You can cancel at any point during the trial from the billing portal linked in your dashboard — no charge will be made.
Monthly subscription
LineageRemote is billed monthly, in advance, per paired PC (seat). After your trial, the first full month is charged at the start of the billing period.
- Within 14 days of your first paid charge, if the Service doesn't work for you, email contact@smart123.ro with your account email and we'll issue a full refund for that month. This right is in addition to any statutory right of withdrawal you may have under EU consumer law.
- After that period, fees already paid are non-refundable. You can cancel at any time from the billing portal and you won't be charged for the next period.
- If you reduce the number of paired PCs mid-period, we'll credit the prorated difference to your next invoice automatically.
- If we suspend your account for breach of the Terms of Service, we are not required to issue a refund.
How to request a refund
Email contact@smart123.ro from the address associated with your account. Include:
- the invoice number or the date of the charge you'd like refunded;
- a short description of the issue you experienced.
Refunds are issued to the original payment method via Stripe. Funds typically appear within 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
Right of withdrawal (EU consumers)
If you're a consumer resident in the European Union, you have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of purchase. To exercise it, send us an email with a clear statement that you'd like to withdraw. Because the Service starts immediately after payment (you can download and use the client right away), you agree that we may begin performing the contract during the withdrawal period; any portion of the service already used may be deducted from the refund on a pro-rata basis.
Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a chargeback with your bank. Unexplained chargebacks may result in the affected account being suspended while we investigate.
